Reformer Pilates is a strengthening programme that is ideally placed to address the unique stresses placed on the human body by modern lifestyle.  Hunched over a laptop?  Rushing through the day with increasing stress?  Our studio is an oasis of calm with expert instruction.

Reformer Pilates uses spring tension to support and challenge the body in dynamic ways that help you tackle and finally banish muscular and postural conditions associated with these stresses.

It's great as a challenging workout for the fitness enthusiast, or to aid in recovery from injury. It helps build overall strength by focusing on strength and stability in the deep abdominal muscles, as well as improving agility, balance and coordination.

Meet the Instructors

Katherine Brown – Lead Pilates Instructor

Katherine is one of only seven fully-certified STOTT Pilates Instructor Trainers in the whole of the UK. She completed her extensive Pilates training in the USA, London and Canada.  Over the last ten years Katherine has been teaching Pilates to clients of all ages and training levels.  Those benefiting from Katherine’s expertise include professional dancers, those recovering from injury and elite athletes.

Katherine came to Pilates originally from a background in classical ballet and contemporary dance. She is fascinated by the complexities of the human body, and continues to be inspired by the power of Pilates to bring about positive changes in her clients' lives.

As well as leading the 37° Pilates studio she teaches training courses in Pilates Matwork and Reformer to new Pilates teachers in London and across the UK.

Tina Stamou – Pilates Instructor

Tina was motivated to teach STOTT Pilates because of chronic lower back issues, which this method's focus on postural improvement helped to rehabilitate. As a result, she adopted a whole new lifestyle and trained with STOTT Pilates in Matwork and Reformer up to the advanced level, and is continually building on her existing knowledge via workshops on rehabilitation and Pilates training for athletes.

Tina very much enjoys engaging with people and helping them reap the benefits of Pilates via developing body awareness and mindfulness in movement.
